Carol service on Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, the church felt especially alive. Families gathered, familiar faces appeared in the doorway, and there was that shared sense of being somewhere together, not just attending something.
The service was shaped by many small, thoughtful touches. The font flowers added quietly to the welcome, the readings were shared with care, and the sound worked seamlessly, allowing everyone to relax into the moment. None of it happened by accident. It reflected time, attention and a willingness to show up for one another.
Thanks to everyone who helped prepare and support the service, both seen and unseen. Especially to Christopher and Margaret. These acts of care are what turn a service into a shared experience and a building into a community.
It was a gentle, collective pause in a busy season. And for many of us, that was exactly what Christmas Eve needed.
